Ayurveda The Ayurvedic Massage is usually a full body massage however, Martin is very open to each clients preferences. The other Ayurverdic treatments include; Shirodhara, which is used to relax the nervous system, and Vasti, a treatment for back pain and other areas needing relief from inflammation and pain. By relaxing muscles, increasing blood flow and eliminating toxins, these techniques are known for giving the body significant relief from the stresses and strains after a hard day at work or fun up the slopes, as well as other recreational activities. It has also been shown to significantly reduce anxiety, fatigue, circulatory disorders, rheumatic and arthritic problems, headaches and old and new injuries. Reiki
Reiki is a laying on of hands touch healing system of incomparable ease and power. This ancient technique originated from Japan and is widely taught around the world. The art of Reiki is not only in the receiving end as a simple "treatment", but more importantly, through initiation, one can learn the essence of Reiki that guides him towards self healing and healing others. |
About Martin
Martin immigrated with his family from Switzerland 23 years ago. Since 2004 he has been living in Lake Hawea area, near Wanaka, New Zealand. Martin has always had an interest in health and natural therapies. He attended multiple courses in India, including Claire’s Ayurvedic Health Care/Shakuntlam Traditional Spinal Care Clinic in New Delhi, at Rasayana Ayurvedic Rejuvenation Centre in McLeod Ganj, Dharamsala, as well as training by the side of Dr. M.L. Mauria at Hemadri Ayurveda Centre in Rishikesh, where he learnt the ancient techniques of Ayurveda massage and other Ayurvedic therapies. . Having seen these techniques work, Martin would love to share these five thousand year old traditions with you, in Wanaka! Furthermore, Martin has been doing extensive training in Reiki that made him today a Reiki Master, teaching Reiki Level I through Level III. He mostly works out of his home near Wanaka. |
