I was born and raised on a mountain farm in a beautiful part of the Swiss mountains as the fourth of five children.
Already as a small boy I was given a hard time by my older siblings due to my inclination to sit in nature in a meditative state where I would forget all around me.
To be part of such a natural environment surrounded by mountains, trees, shrubs, wild flowers, beautiful creeks, animals and to feel the earth, has always given me a sense of peace and harmony.
My hope has always been and still is that people would care more for our planet. Caring for the environment is close to my heart and it is the way I try to live my life.
I worked in many different professions during my life, but one very important part of my life was, and still is, to grow a bio dynamic vegetable garden to feed my family with our own healthy produce. Wherever we moved the first thing I did was to prepare a good plot for our vegetable garden. That is also the place where I spend a lot of my spare time.
I hope that with this practice I was able to plant a seed in my two beautiful daughters which they may grow sometime.
Over the years meditation was brought to me by many different people. Almost ten years ago I was introduced to Vipassana meditation and since then I try to integrate it into my daily life. I did several ten day meditation courses and I meditate for one hour in the morning and one hour in the evening daily. This has changed my daily life a lot and I was able to let go of some deep-rooted habits.
Ayurveda training in India
Starting from 2010, I visited the Himalayas twice by going to Nepal and Northern India. It was there that I understood that the almost 5000 year old Ayurvedic Philosophy with its broad natural roots can be beautifully integrated into the Vipassana Tradition, as they do it in India. This realization was the reason I decided to do multiple Ayurveda courses during later trips to India. I have gone on to complete 3 certified trainings:
The Journey to becoming a Reiki Master
My passion for Reiki can be traced back to as early as my 20s. Then when I finally decided to be initiated as a channel of Reiki, in light of self healing and healing others, I first went with Master Dave Pollock in Queenstown. There I went from Level I to Level 3A in the Usui System of Reiki. Later on during another trip to the Himalayas, I was fortunate enough to encounter Master Himalaya Rai. With his amazing spirit and guidance, I finally completed Reiki III and became a Reiki Master myself.
Whether it is Ayurvedic treatment or Reiki, my ultimate joy and satisfaction lies in helping people in their journeys towards self healing and improvement. I would gladly be part of yours.
May all beings be happy.
